The commune borders on the department of Gers, is watered by the Touch river and forms a natural border with the commune of Casties-Labrande. The castrum of Sénarens was built in 1226.
This small stronghold became a fortified town in 1269. A former convent dating from the 18th century can be seen as you pass through the Moulis district. The commune once had two windmills. The last of these was still in use at the beginning of the 20th century by the Laguens millers.
