This exhibition, organised by the City’s cultural department and designed by the University of Montpellier, invites you to join us on a journey through the history and folklore of the bear, from prehistory to the present day, from a feared beast to a faithful, comforting teddy bear.
Castings of skulls, claws and paw prints, and stuffed bear specimens: at Maison Garonne, discover what bears are like in the wild and learn how to classify teddy bears like a naturalist – and (perhaps) earn your ‘stuffed animal expert’ certificate.
