PRIMA KANTA QUARTET

For the ‘Salon des Arts et du Feu’ weekend, we are hosting Prima Kanta, founded four years ago by saxophonist and clarinettist Laurent Rochelle, which has evolved from a sextet created for the album *7 variations sur le Tao* (2021), into an unconventional quartet blending piano, violin, electro-acoustic harp and wind instruments. With no bass or drums, this ‘chamber jazz’ stands out for its collective arrangements, which reinforce its identity. This new album incorporates electronic textures and vocals, offering music that is original, sensitive and accessible.
