The Labastide-Clermont municipal library and media library is located on the ground floor of the town hall.
Please note that registration and the loan of books, CDs and DVDs are completely free for residents of the commune.
INTERNAL RULES
Article 1: The Labastide-Clermont municipal library-media centre is a public service open to all. It contributes to the documentation, information, cultural and leisure activities of all citizens.
Article 2: Access to the library-media centre and consultation of documents on site are free and open to all.
Article 3: Library staff are available to help users make the best use of the library’s resources.
Article 4: Consultation of documents and home loans are free for residents of the community. For people from outside the village, an annual fee of €5 per family will be charged (by cheque only).
Article 5: To register, users must provide proof of identity and address.
Article 6: Children under the age of 16 must have written authorisation from their parents or legal guardians. The municipality and librarians will not be held responsible for documents taken by a minor.
Article 7: Readers may borrow a maximum of 3 documents for a period of 3 weeks. An extension of 2 weeks is granted on condition that notice is given before the end of the loan period.
Article 8: Users are asked to take good care of the documents they borrow.
Article 9: The reproduction of documents is subject to compliance with current legislation on the conditions of use of copies and copyright, as well as their use for publication and public exploitation. The library cannot be held responsible for any use that contravenes these laws.
Article 10: In the event of loss or damage, the user is obliged to refund the purchase price of the document.
Article 11: Readers are required to keep the premises quiet. Smoking, drinking and eating are prohibited. Animals are not allowed on the premises.
Article 12: All library users undertake to comply with these rules.
Article 13: Any breach of these rules may result in the following sanctions: temporary or permanent withdrawal of borrowing rights or access to the library.
Article 14: The staff of the municipal library-media centre, under the authority of the Mayor, are responsible for ensuring that these rules are applied and that the service runs smoothly.
