Labastide-Clermont is a commune with a rich medieval past. It was here that the Cistercian abbey of Les Feuillants was founded in 1144. You can walk to the abbey and see the 17th-century gatehouse. “Labastide-des-Feuillants” became “Labastide-Clermont” in 1794. The church, dedicated to Saint-Loup, contains furniture from the former abbey.
The village is crossed by the river Le Touch and by the ruisseau des Feuillants, a tributary of the Touch.
