Lherm

The commune has been occupied since the Palaeolithic era. From the 14th to the 18th century, it was the seat of an Archpriest’s office that covered 39 communes. Today, it is one of the gateways to the Savès, just 13 minutes from Muret.

In the commune, you can see the Chapelle Notre-dame du out du Pont and the Gothic-style church of Saint-André, both listed as historic monuments. In medieval times, LHerm had five castles: the Castrum in the centre of the village and the castles on the Jottes de la Serreuille, Mona and Villières estates. Only two castles remain: Jottes and Serreuille.

Le Lherm is home to the Cap Al Campestre Museum, set up by Luigi Ferazin in 1965 and featuring a collection of old crafts and agricultural objects. There is also a hiking trail, the Favette loop, and the Muret-Lherme aerodrome, where a major airshow is held every spring to the delight of young and old alike.
