Ideally situated at the gateway to the Gers, Sainte-Foy-de-Peyrolières is 30 kilometres south-west of Toulouse and forms part of the canton of Cazères. The commune covers 3,802 hectares, with two major hamlets, Le Parayre and La Salvetat.
The town centre boasts a fine architectural ensemble, with characterful houses built of red brick, pebbles and raw brick. You can see the houses of the last royal judge (1791), royal notaries, the town hall and school (1880), the market hall and the church.
A railway line from Toulouse (Roquet station) was in service from 1901 to 1949. The station, the cistern and the remains of a bridge over the Galage stream are still visible.
