Sentier du Ramier

1. Go down towards the ramier and take the track opposite on your right.

2. Go straight on for 700 m along the interpretation trail, then turn right for 80 m to discover this unusual and refreshing spot with its interpretation panel and the ruins of an old mill complete with picnic table. (CAUTION! The D10 passes overhead! Be very careful if you want to cross it to reach the picnic area and the Cazères-Palaminy flying club).

3. After your stop, retrace your steps and turn right into the poplar grove, following the signs. After about 300 m, a passage on your right takes you to an old gate, below the D10.

4. At the end of this little diversions, return to the track on your right and continue straight ahead along the shady path. At the end of the path, turn right as far as the barrier (on the edge of the D10) to discover yet another vestige of the past.

5. Go back along the path for about 400 m and turn right: you will pass under an arch, a former tollgate for ferries and boats joining the right bank of the Garonne.

6. When you come out of the arch, go down, turn left and follow the signs.

7. 400 m further on, after the poplar grove, take the left-hand path to the end.

8. At the crossroads, turn right (towards the banks of the Garonne: CAUTION! Bathing prohibited) and 30 m further on turn left (signposted) to continue along the grassy path.

9. At the end of this path, head towards the poplar grove and the small wood (BEWARE! Beehives are present at certain times of the year, so keep to the right and respect the signs, don't go near them!) Go up towards the copse, and at the exit turn left onto the chemin du ramier and the GR VIA GARONA to get back to the starting point.
