Tai Chi Chuan and Postural Balance at Saint Michel 31220

Are you looking for a gentle physical activity adapted to your level of flexibility, accompanied by an attentive and caring teacher? The Tai Chi Alipos association offers you a soothing environment in which to learn Tai Chi Chuan or practise a gentle form of exercise we call “Postural Balance”, both of which are good for your physical and mental health.

Tai Chi Chuan
You will learn to move gently to seek, and find, ultimate tranquillity. Through a series of slow, fluid movements, this internal martial art gives you the opportunity to work on your balance while releasing physical and mental tension. A meditation in movement, Tai Chi is accessible to all ages and all levels of flexibility.

Postural balance, gentle exercise
Our teacher Elène Cloosterman offers gentle exercises (Egoscue® method) involving relaxation, stretching and strengthening to balance tension in deep postural muscles. Thanks to this balancing, the joints will regain their mobility. Regular practice of these postural exercises can relieve or even prevent chronic pain. So, open to all ages!
Elène works with small groups of no more than 8 people, so that she can guide each participant carefully.

Our teacher Elène Cloosterman is a sports educator and certified APA (Adapted Physical Activity).
She follows the Tai Chi Chuan teaching of Wolfe Lowenthal, a direct pupil of Cheng man Ching and founder of the Long River Tai Chi Circle school.
