Who am I?
My name is Julie, and I am a craft artist.
Having trained as a jewellery designer and goldsmith, I have long been creating exquisite jewellery with the precision of a master goldsmith. Skilled with my hands, I excel in a variety of craft techniques – from fine jewellery-making to delicate woodwork, meticulous sewing and creative modelling.
As the founder of ‘L’Artisanerie de jolies choses’, I’ve brought my world to life here: an online shop showcasing my own creations as well as those of local craftspeople on consignment.
What makes me unique?
I handcraft small boxes, greeting cards, badges, poetic and/or functional objects, and more. These delicate creations are designed to accompany life’s special moments. Each piece is crafted with particular care: the choice of materials, the harmony of colours, and meticulous finishing touches. With an eye for the smallest detail, each piece differs subtly from the others, made from fine, natural materials.
I love transforming a simple material into a precious object imbued with meaning: a poetic box, a card to convey what really matters, a badge to express a personality, a gift set to celebrate an occasion…
I love using cardboard, paper and all manner of other materials to craft unique objects. Everything is crafted with patience and meticulous care. My creations often stem from a desire to bring joy or to tell a story: to convey a message, to preserve a memory, or to combine practicality, beauty and uniqueness.
At ‘L’artisanerie de jolies choses’, I focus on small batches and bespoke pieces, so that each item finds its rightful place with the person who receives it.
I also create, on request, one-off pieces to precise specifications: colours, sizes, text, themes… In this way, I work alongside my clients to create objects that truly reflect their personalities, whether for a personalised gift, a special occasion, or simply the pleasure of having an original creation in their home.
