Chemin de Ronde

A bucolic walk, once outside the village walls, with a magnificent view over the plain of the Garonne. “The name of the village “Le Fousseret” comes from the deep ravines or ditches that border the town to the east, on the Chemin de Ronde side. The old municipal seal bears the word “FOSSORETO” surrounding the Languedoc cross surmounted by three fleurs-de-lys. The history of Le Fousseret is linked to the gradual clearing of the Bouconne forest and the establishment of arable fields.
Along the way, you’ll notice a number of half-timbered houses, some of which have retained the structure of the traditional dwellings of large farming towns: the main building on the street side, buildings devoted to domestic activities (stables, cellars, hen houses, vegetable garden, etc.) on the plain side, the two separated by an inner courtyard or skylight.
