Balade à Sainte-Barse

1. Follow the D6 left towards the village, then at the crossroads after the chapel, turn right towards Fustignac.

2. After 300 m, take the Chemin de Bidaou to the right. 250 m further on, in front of the ‘Le Marchand’ farm, take the Brassac track on the right.

3. After 1 km, at the little bench, turn right and immediately left into the meadow. Go along the hedge to the end of the field. Go down to the right and cross the copse, then the meadow.

4. At the bottom of the meadow, fork right. After 30 m, turn left and cross the stream. Go straight up to the ‘Comté’ farm along the hedge. Turn right and continue as far as Oulé farm.

5. SMALL WALK: take the path on the right-hand side of the Oulé which joins the D6 and the village (short walk: 4.6 km / 1 h 30). LONG WALK: go straight on. Cross the D6 and take the country lane towards ‘Peyet’, then join the dirt track. This brings you back to the GR86.

6. Turn right at the crossroads and continue along the GR. At the top of the hill, turn left and then right at the fire hydrant.

7. At the bottom of the descent, stay on the road and turn right towards Castelnau-Picampeau and walk for around 500m.

8. Opposite La Pachère farm, at the bend in the road, take a very small path to the right that leads back to Castelnau-Picampeau church, avoiding the road. The path soon becomes a steep incline.

9. At the top, turn left and follow the fields until you reach the D83.

10. Turn right to get back to the starting point.
