The Martres-Tolosane Earthenware Museum, situated in the heart of the historic centre, showcases the art of earthenware and the rich local heritage within a 380 m² building created from three renovated old houses.
Visitors can discover an impressive collection of antique and contemporary earthenware produced locally since the 18th century, as well as pieces resulting from collaborations with other European centres.
The museum also features areas dedicated to the history of the village, the Gallo-Roman villa of Chiragan and the legend of Saint-Vidian, as well as temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
Videos and interactive displays complement the visit, offering an enriching experience accessible to all visitors.
It is an essential stop for understanding the artisanal and cultural identity of Martres-Tolosane, a town recognised as a “Cité Artiste”.
